OptofluidiX 2025, a conference locally hosted at the University of Leipzig from Falko Schmidt, Frank Cichos and Detlev Belder has just ended.

We look back at 2.5 days packed with forefront research within optofluidics, combining novel optical imaging and manipulation tools with microfluidic flows. We had intense and fruitful discussions after talks by our invited experts, at the poster session or during our panel discussion on career development for students. We had over 9 scientific sessions, 14 posters, and 4 panelists, lots of good food, beer and wine and a conference dinner in a brewery below the city hall. 

Big thanks for all our invited speakers to join us from around the world and to all ECR for attending this first conference of its kind in Leipzig!

All conversations were lively and filled with interdisciplinary insights from physics, chemistry, biology and engineering. We hope our attendees had as much fun as we had organizing the event and looking forward to a new iteration in the coming years.
